This website was started as a father and son project. We both enjoy photography a great deal and our work is shared here in the gallery store for you to view. We hope you enjoy these photographs as much as we enjoyed taking them. Nature has a beauty that is there for everyone to find and enjoy, you just have to go out there and look for it and take a little of it into yourself.

About the Photographers

Gene Csonka
gene-csonkaGene’s interest in photography started in 1962 at Clarion University while studying for a degree in Biology. One of his roommates took him to the college darkroom and showed him how to develop photos, thus sparking a lifelong passion for photography.

In the past 49 years Gene has moved from Pennsylvania, to Maryland, North Carolina, and now to southwest Florida, having taken thousands of photos everywhere he’s traveled. Now that he’s retired from teaching in public schools, Gene and his wife are traveling throughout the United States to its many National and State parks, and taking photographs of natural and historic areas.

Ever since childhood he’s always been an outdoors person that loved walking trails and fishing, but a camera was also at his side. Flowers, landscapes and historic buildings are Gene’s favorite subjects. Having used many types of cameras throughout the years, his choice today is the Canon EOS Rebel XST with an Image Stabilizer 70-300 ultrasonic zoom lens.

David Csonka
david-csonkaDavid was first exposed to photography as a child while watching the slide shows his parents would put on after one of their trips around the country. A fondness for nature was inspired early on by summer trips to the mountains of Pennsylvania, but it wasn’t until after college that these two interests really merged.

More recently, David has developed a passion for the evolutionary health lifestyle, including ideas like the paleo diet and barefoot running. Spreading awareness about how health is affected by these concepts his now his chief occupation, which you can read more about at his blog Naturally Engineered.

David’s favorite photography subjects include landscapes and wild animals, and uses a Canon Rebel like his father to capture both.
